Topcoats

Cashew Americas provides a variety of topcoat technologies that provide the final durability, feel and gloss level of our coating systems.

Various products offer different degrees of mechanical and chemical properties. Mechanical properties include hardness, abrasion resistance, resistance against UV radiation, scratch resistance and others. Chemical properties include resistance against solvents, make up, lipstick, suntan lotion, bug spray and others.

The majority of our topcoats are transparent. The topcoats range in gloss from 2⁰ to 90⁰ and higher (measured at a 60⁰ angle).

A special version of our topcoat adds a soft and velvet feel to your end product.

All of our topcoats should be used in combination with our basecoats. In case you would like to use a topcoat without a basecoat, we recommend using one of our monocoats. Several topcoat technologies exist including 2K PU and UV chemistries.
